Transformers: War For Cybertron... created completely by me!

For those of you who don't yet know (or care), the videogame I've been working on for two years just got released. It's apparently doing very well and is getting alot of favorable reviews! I was a cinematics guy (storyboards and sometimes conceptual artist) and visualized/directed about half of the cut scenes. Take a look at the IGN review by clicking on this link!

Thompson Draws and Types!

Here are some sketches I did at the TAG North meet and around school. Posted on FB as well. Saw Marty last week-end. He renewed the challenge to post some of these on the blog here. Had to lug out the old Gutenburg Renaissance Scanner 1600 and download the neceassary driver from the paleo-software archives website, always an anxiety-inducing chore for me.

I don't remember cutting all that zipatone-photoshop "zip"

I added another doodle with my own photoshop zip a tone. It's one pixel black in the upper left corner with alpha on two sides. Then saved as a pattern. When you do fill on a blank layer, pick it as your fill pattern and voila. Old time zipatone. All us old genesis artists could probably duplicate every zipatone ever made. This would be what, 30 percent gray? Good workhorse zip.

Another great is gone. His work on Star Wars and Flash Gordon blew my mind as a kid.

NEOPHYTE T-Shirt Design ...

Here is the latest design for United & International. A little softer, gentler message ... and an homage to my friend Mark DeCerbo's song of the same name. Title takes you to the blog itself. More postings as I / we do 'em.
Also thought it would be fun to run Kali's "Rear Naked" image through Photoshop and Illustrator just to see what it would look like as a T-shirt ... though this design is just for TAG to see (and no one to wear) ... ;-)

Rear Naked

Kali art at the top. My art at the bottom from a Kali suggestion. These are all from Drink and Draw last night. The sabertooth tiger and nude are index card doodles lying around my computer. A lot of extra gets scanned when I get into scanning mode.

We had our TAG North meeting for June last night and Ron Thompson joined us!  It was GREAT to catch up with him and see that he still has a really cool drawing style.  I stupidly didn't get and pictures, so that will have to wait until next time.
