More vecotized versions of old drawings... I feel like my portfolio is getting a face lift! I also traded out some drawings elsewhere on my website. I'm not sure if they are improvements, but I am feeling better about the thing.
The vectorizing is like having a good inker recreate your art in line. When I was around Mike Miller and Mike Christian, I always marveled at that ability to fastidiously ink and clean the pencils they were sent. I like the colored lines. It really softens things to pick a color other than black for the outlines.

ReplyDeleteI'd like to try this technique to see if I can give a pencil drawing with a lot of fine lines a wood-block/wood-engraved look.
ReplyDeleteThese are funny! Anyone we know? I feel like they must be Jostens personnel--but surely not Rick hisself??
ReplyDeleteNo, I don't have that much hair left.
ReplyDeleteThese are 2 characters from a Nick pitch that I worked on at SOE.
