I wnet to the Gnomon workshop this weekend. They just published a pic from the workshop and none other than Stan Winston is in the middle of the shot...He must have went home after the show and went to the hospital..
I remember Bluesky parcelling out the foam models used in the Sega Genesis "Jurassic Park" game to distinguished team members--and didn't Doug take the Raptor for hisse'f?
Wait a minute, were those models from Winston...or Tippet??
Tippet. But Doug also got to visit the Winston studio and see the big animatronic dinos. Probably the height of jealousy in my life. So it was good. Everything got easier after I got that out of my system. After about 3 years.
I saw this at work. Winston really had no peer. Practical effects just got that much more unlikely in genre films not that he is dead.
ReplyDeleteHe will be sorely missed ...
ReplyDeleteNOW that he is dead.
ReplyDeleteB. You need to get an Icon.
ReplyDeleteYah, need an icon.

ReplyDeleteOK, James, so I need an icon. Actually I rather like yours. It's kind of mysterious ...
ReplyDeleteHow about if I copy it and just call myself the Invisible Woman?
