Halloween Costume - What If...

During lunch I saw a couple of guys carrying two big plastic trash bags full of corn cobs (they were setting up for a local farmer's market). Since Halloween is around the corner I was instantly hit by the idea for a costume. This is what I saw in my head. My head would be the spikey back of the creature.

If only I had the time to make it....*sigh*

  1. If your head is the spikey peak of tthe back, then I love where that puts that long, pointy nose on yr anatomy.

Yes, I am back, with an off-color comment no less.

    I've missed you all.

  2. Boy does that bring back fun memories of Jostens. Do your kids win every halloween costume contest now or, like my nephews, do they insist on being SpongeBob?

  3. Very cool! That would make an interesting hat. Could you make a smaller version and wear it on your head?

  4. Here's the run down on my family:
    D. is going to be Beletrix Lastrange from the Harry Potter books, B. is going to be Princess Leia (using her real hair to make the cinnamon buns)and Tommy is going to be Batman. There's no way I'm going to attempt to make a Leia costume, but Batman I can handle. I've started painting a muscled sweatshirt and I've glued some pointed ears to a black beanie.

Oh, and I will be one of the Scary Men for the local Haunted Train event. I think we are going to be ghosts this year, so I'm working on an 19th century gentleman ghost costume complete with a walking stick with a skull at the end of it. I've got a bunch of glow in the dark paint to add to it to light us up a bit, since this deal is at night.

  5. Rick -- Diane's daughter was Leia last year. Shire's hair is waist length -- Diane wrapped it around a couple of stale bagels to keep the shape right. It was perfect!

  7. Hey, maybe it's time for another TAG challenge, like the "design a giant monster" contest. How about a "design the most extreme Halloween costume, complete with cut-away views like Davis' 3 man monster? Whadda ya say, gang?
