Free Realms Launches

Here's the game I've been working on for SOE for the past couple of years. It launched last night at 11:30. I was one of the special effects artists. It's free, and it's made for kids.

Webcomic Podcasts

I have 2 podcasts to share concerning webcomics that may or may not be of interest to you folks... the first one is created by Tom Racine, a card carrying nerd who Jeff and I used to work with many years ago at Jostens. He interviews all sorts of cartoonists both print and web based:

The other is hosted by 4 popular webcomic creators who talk about their own webcomic experiences and interview others. They can get off subject for long periods of time, but there are some good nuggets of knowledge in there. These guys wrote the book about webcomic publishing (http://www.pvpstuff.com/howtomawepor.html)and Scott Kurtz (PvP) is moving to the Seattle area soon and may join TAG when he gets here.

Walf

Here is the Walf mini comic I mentioned. This was a story Dan and I did back in 1989 about Walf, a hamster that belonged to a roommate of ours. It was for a mini comic called Acorn Comics which was self-published for fun. Rick also contributed a story and the back cover illustration. This was very primitive, it was photo copied, cut with a small paper cutter, folded and stapled by hand.

I have posted some other Walf artwork on my blog, Acornucopia Project , as well.

Cork 27

Here is 27, sooner rather than later. Ellis was on the verge of tears so I had to make sure I got it out before the weekend. He's such a precious little dear. God end him... I mean love him.

Bring Your Own Big Wheel

If you haven't seen my pics on Facebook here they are in all their Flickr glory. Saw this on another blog and wanted to try it out. Enjoy! Anybody want to start preparing for next year???

Bankers

I've been drawing animal versions of bankers lately. Most of them have been very fat, but I thought I would go in a different direction with this one... it was too easy to think of a mole as fat. Also, I had just finished drawing a walrus banker who was REALLY fat.

Cork 26

Hey kiddies! Here's new Corkies. I've pencilled out the next one as well so maybe you'll be getting #27 sooner than later.

Ellis, thanks for scanning the Zone-Z stuff for me! I'll update you soon!

Buncake-My Blog has all Of Bounty Of Zone Z

Buncake, I've done all the scanning and Uploading of Bounty of Zone Z. Clicking the Headline takes you to my Blog for all the art. Click on the art then you have to do a lot of right click / save to relocate it.

I haven't done the Logo piece yet. I'll do that some time tomorrow.

Just to make it a worthwhile post I've shared a nice early Frazetta

Alien Messiah

I'm going to use this as the basis for a demo/lecture in class tomorrow. It was done in the early 80s and I'm going to go over it and point out things that are no nos and would improve the work. Love the tangent of the flying manta ray and the sword for instance.

Added my touch up. Even though I have a lot of stuff I did intellectually that may have "improved " the composition/staging and injected more focus, I like the original better.

I may show it anyway.

List of Contributors (So Far) ...

Here's the list so far. The Jack Kirby page contains info from Lisa Kirby, Jack's daughter and anecdotes I'll collect from pros who knew Jack's cullinary tastes. I forgot to enter in Scott Rosenberg, founder of Platinum Studios (it is my hope to have a top guy from each publisher, so I have emails in to Mike Richardson, Joe Quesada, and Dan DiDio. There are still some fence sitters, like Barry Windsor-Smith, and some I've included who have yet to send their recipes. But I'll get 'em. Thanks for all TAG members who responded; y'all have a Golden Ticket ... It should be a nice cookbook. I'm going to start putting together the "dummy" next week.

And if I forgot to include anyone in this list, let me know! ...

Cork 25

I've hit the quarter of a century mark with Cork. Actually, a quarter of 100 strips, but I'm going to celebrate anyways dammit.

More improvements

I'm still working on some of the specular settings as well as lighting but it's moving along. My computer doesn't seem to render it as clear as at school but I'm working on it.
Can always use helpful comments.

Hellboy and Abe Sapien

Somehow, I pictured them being a tad taller. From the Emerald City ComicCon this past weekend. Rick, Romi and I had a great time at this con. It was just the right size and it was mostly focused on comics.

Approving Comments

We have a strange individual who is posting on here with distasteful user names, so I will be approving comments for a while. I'm sorry that we have to do this but I can't seem to find a setting to only screen non-members. If anyone out there knows how to do this, please jump in and take care of it.

I guess it was only a matter of time that we would attract someone with nothing better to do with his time than be a sniveling juvenile delinquent.

Plants vs. Zombies!

Click on the title of this post and see a crazy video that promotes our next big game release! It's quite strange... and a catchy tune! If you go to our website, you can hear the song in Japanese!

Creepy trailer

Drat! I've forgotten how to embed the video into my post... well, click on the title and you will get the video.

Dang new fangled gizmos!

KZ ADDED: Here you go hippie.
