Good, bad... I'm the guy with the gun

Today marks the official announcement of the game I've been working on for the past year and a half: The Agency.

Being the weapons guy for this project, I did the minigun you can see in the screenshot. I've also done a little character work (hair on one of the guys and the evening shoes worn by the hot chick). But mostly I make guns. Lots and lots of guns.

I'm super-happy to be on "The Agency" team. If we can cram all the great ideas and artwork onto a Blu-Ray, I think we'll have a great fun, game!

  1. PS3 and PC? Together or separate worlds?

Looks like fun, Surly! I'm glad the veil has finally lifted.

MINI gun? That's the MINI gun? Yeesh! Is that all game footage or is some of that video cinema tics?

Were you the consultant as to what Prague looks like? I met a guy just last night who's a doctor in Prague... he just loves it there. I talked about you a little bit as someone who was very impressed with the city and who was nice enough to bring back a Mucha book. :)

I'm glad you are having fun with this game. I know it's silly to ask this but do you have any idea as to when your are coming out?

  2. Rick, I thought the same thing about the minigun, but when you look at the M61 Vulcan, the weapon it was derived from, you'll realize why they call this the minigun.

    Vulcan fun

I can't really say too much about the technical aspects of the game in terms of whether PS3 or PC will play together. The truth of the matter is I honestly don't know. I guess "to be determined" is the best answer.

Prague is awesome and my trip there nearly five years ago was a great investment. The doctor chap, is a lucky guy - I'm not really envious, but I sure would like to spend more than one week in the Czech Republic. We are using tons of photos I took while there as reference materials.

The less I say about the ship date, the better. ;) I don't want to say anything that's either incorrect or could be misconstrued.

  3. Congrats on the game coming out. I've worked on a lot of games that didn't come out so it's always an accomplishment to see one hit the market.

Nice screen grab. I'm thinking of starting an urban myth that if a person tried to shoot a mini gun like Arnold did in T2 that the torque would twist him to the ground. So that the guys in Myth Busters will go to the trouble of shooting one hand held.

That Prague trip sounds exciting. No one asked me to go to Paris for Ratatouille. Several people did go to Paris. Mainly to connect with the French studio doing PS2 skus of the game.

  4. Congrats! It looks like ALOT of fun! So you did all the guns? Did you get to do any other weaponry like swords or poisoned darts???
