I did this today on my ride to and from work on my phone (probably 50 minutes total effort). This wasn't using Brushes, but Sketchbook Mobile, a very watered down version of the PC program. At first I didn't find it as intuitive as Brushes, but it has more options, and some nicer brushes. I'm still looking for some sort of eyedropper in the app, but other than that I'm liking Sketchbook more and more.
Really like this. I like the covering up of the blue priming on the bottom with the warm colors. That was something Jeff Remmer always did with his paintings.
ReplyDeleteDoes this let you zoom in so you're working on areas for more tight detail. I couldn't imagine that was all done with the image just iphone size.
Yes, you zoom and move about by applying 2 fingers to to the screen, just as you might when viewing something on the web with the phone.
ReplyDeleteI bought the progam also, but wanted to get a stylus to draw with. My fat little fingers are too...fat. You drew this with your fingers?? If you did then I would have to say WOW!!!
ReplyDeleteYup, sure did. I think the trick is zooming in and out a lot.
ReplyDeleteZooming in and out a lot sounds like a pain in the ass to achieve what you did. But still looks good.
ReplyDeleteIt's not so bad... you do it with the same fingers you are drawing with. In some ways, it's a very direct and intimate way to draw.
ReplyDeleteI like the the loose pastel feel. I guess pastel has the same feel for me as fingers. Big and stubby.
