Once I animate his mouth , I'll post what happens to him.
I'm going to animate a bunch of guys dying at the hands of Invisible Robots.
It'll be the Bambi vs Godzilla joke just repeated.

I love the "average joes" that you draw, Ellis... you have a knack for drawing the everyday shlub.
ReplyDeleteI come from a long line of shlubs. Thanks Rick.
ReplyDeleteHey, wouldn't it be cool to animate his mouth the old "Clutch Cargo" way?!
ReplyDeleteThat's a good idea Tom! But I'm wanting practice at cartooning lip sync
ReplyDeleteHa ha! I know. I just got to remembering how grotesque that style of animation seemed to me even as a kid. It was like someone laid a wet, wiggly worm on the drawing where the mouth should be. I was laughing at the thought of you cutting out the mouth hole in your drawing and sticking your lips through from the back side. I'd pay to see that.
ReplyDeleteHey, wait a minute! Now I remember! You already did something like that long ago when you made that chin puppet movie. That made me laugh so hard. If you still have that around somewhere how about posting it here on TAG?
ReplyDeleteI've got the Chin Puppet movie. Just comb through my possessions carefully after I die. It's there.
ReplyDeleteWe want it NOW.
ReplyDelete(It's not nice to speak ill of the dead.)
I'll look for it. The edits were done by turning the vcr on and off of record. No script. Just me as nakedly dumb as I can be.
ReplyDeleteAwesome!
ReplyDeleteHa! That's a great image. Captured his personality perfectly. You have no problem reading what kind of guy he is.
ReplyDeleteChin puppets! Flying Saucers! Casio soundtrack! Bring it on!
