  1. That was incredible. Now I know that Stormtrooper Elvis is a machinist. I'm halfway there. I'll watch it a couple more times and I'll probably at least make a Saturday.

  2. Highlights are the scarey third grade teacher, the Klingon-Borg UPS driver and the Furry truck driver. Really liked his ears. Krayonzilla was unrecognizable as the Joker. It's a very nice short.

Well if you register early that is. I thought I did but I never got any info back. And lazyness. I will have to stand in the pro registration line on Friday. sigh...

  7. Oh the GREAT 4 hr wait on Preview Night. My back hurts just thinking about waiting in that cattle pen line.

  8. Yes, but the Pro badge line is much shorter than the riff-raff line.

Oh, did I just type that? I'm so naughty!

Welcome back Krayon! I doesn't suck as much as FF1? That's all I need to know! I'm there! Tommy and I will see it while the ladies of the family go watch some pirates do lots of pointless stuff for 3 hours...

  12. You sir are correct with that observation. Yes it didn't suck as bad as the frist one but that's not saying much. I don't think Tim "the Braindead" Story even read FF 48-50. I'm soooo sick of Toilet humor, cheap sex punchlines and low end juvenile stupidity in all the crap they produce today. I think being raised on films from the 30's, 40's 50's 60's and early to mid 70's has spoiled me. juvenile stupidity has it moments but alot of these NEW directors just don't know when to stop it. It's like a 2 pound cake with 14 pounds of frosting covering it with a custered center to boot. It's not enjoyable...it just makes you want to throw up. Plus overblown in your face SFX does not a good film make. My two cents.

I'd rather watch a good John Ford film instead.

  13. Yes, we have made an offer on a house... we'll see how it goes... there will no doubt be a few days of haggling before the dust settles... then there's the inspections, etc....

  15. Ellis, thanks for the glimpse of your comic book script on your other blog. I'm anxious to see it when it's done. Any chance you will post more of the thumbnail layouts somewhere? That would be most educational and fascinating.

  16. Tom, you bet. The script is almost unreadable shorthand to anyone but me. But its working for me right now. The momentum feels good. I happen to be reading Stephen King ON WRITING at the same time I'm writing and I'm drawing out a lot of good tips about storytelling.
