I had to go to get my eyes checked last month and I had my sketchbook with me. The doc dialated my pupils and I tried to draw.
So after the appointment I couldn't drive home so I decided to see a movie. I saw "Bug". Oh man what an awful movie. I walked out shaking my head and comiserated with a fellow moviegoer. I should have seen Pirates instead.
BTW I'm really digging these Moleskin sketchbooks!!!
Nice kimono/smoking jacket on the guy on the left. I have projected a back story that these are two samurai that have self inflicted their half blinded injuries while learning the way of the sword.
ReplyDeleteI need my eyes checked. I've just about lost my near vision. Too much computer monitor is one cause I'm sure.
ReplyDeleteSame here... it's time for bifocals for me!
ReplyDeleteI love the guy with the bow tie... he should be the next Bond villain!
I would like to take Tommy to the Transformers movie, but I'm concerned... it there any gore or impaling or anything, or is it just 'Bots dukeing it out?
There's no gore in Transformers. Eyebrow pencil drawn on scratches on the heroes as the action gets heated up. There are transformers that lose limbs. I enjoyed it. Very juvenile but weirdly moving. They don't do a great job of showing good sillohuette especially during action. Very camoflaged at times what you are seeing.
ReplyDeleteI was going to see Bug because I heard that the website looked interesting. Now I'm glad I didn't.
ReplyDeleteGreat!
ReplyDeleteI can see that the 'Bots themselves would be difficult to 'read' at times since they seem to have lot's of little bits in them... not a lot of big shapes like the originals.
That might be the movie of choice this weekend... or perhaps the Silver Surfer... has anyone seen that one yet?
Jim Gorham thought Fantastic Four was good. He's usually tough and he liked the Surfer.
ReplyDeleteMaybe Jim should get off his punk ass and post a review on TAG!!!! >:-P
