Gorgeous stuff! I envy that kind of ability, but honestly I prefer the art on Scott's "Cork". There's a lot to be said for simplicity and clarity.
If an artist wants to do that much fussy detail, I like to see it used to present a more innovative graphic vision, (e.g. some of Moebius' more detailed work)
Cork gives us a much more fun and original world that doesn't take itself too seriously.
And as far as story and dialogue goes..."Destroy this interloper?" (Drawing #10)
I saw this a while back and I dig it. Charest has really grown on me as he has eschewed the 'Metal Hurlant' mentality over the mundane world of being a Jim Lee clone drawing 'WildCATs' back in the '90s. There is something about the way he draws faces (particularly women's faces) that has never appealed to me, though. He's improved to such a degree I hardly even notice, now, though.
I picked this book up at the Con. It's a small hardcover landscape book about 4" by 7". You might be able to order it through Bud Plant or one of those places. Oh, and Jeff, you're a knuckle butt munch.
