Pretty cool. I'm downloading all these old golden age comics, browsing, then deleting them. Click the headline to see what i'm talking about. Check out that Wrestling move in the Ad Tom Moon.
I recommend the Avon Comics Strange Worlds series. Lots of old Wally Wood and Al Williamson with just a touch here and there of Frazetta. You're right Tom. That crispy crumbly feeling is missing.
Tom this was a sweet spot where an entire generation had no knowledge of Conan. The Lancer books with the Frazetta covers brought Robert E Howard back to life. I'm certain this story caused no cries of plagiarism .

On the cover of the "Out of This World" comic, it looks like it says, "Crom, the Barbarian". A Conan ripoff?
ReplyDeleteWow, what a Conan ripoff. They couldn't even be bothered to think of a more original name than "Crom".

Doesn't Conan worship a god called "Crom"? Perhaps this guy exclaims "Conan!" all the time.
