Sorry I haven't been around lately. Worked like crazy last week plus some OT this weekend. Ugh. So here's something I just did to keep my mind off of surfing penguns. Space! (Thanks Topcat for the inspiration) The process was just filling in the panels starting from the left and working my way down with no preconcieved plot. The robot is a clear ripoff but I like to call it an homage. I cheezed out at the end but I didn't want to continue the story. Enjoy!
Brilliant. That's a story artist at work. You needto puit out a dozen comic books that have a strip per page just like that.
ReplyDeleteI like this very much ... The sequential aspects are strong and there really is no need for dialog ... it'd get in the way.
ReplyDeleteUm ... but what did I do that was specific to space? Just wondering ... you'd think I'd know my own stuff ...
Skribbl! Your a GOD!!!
ReplyDeletewas thinking of Silent Running as you did this I see.
Without even "reading" it panel to panel it works beautifully as a whole graphic piece.
ReplyDeleteThanks All!
ReplyDeletemr goodson: Dude! I can't even keep up with my Robotopia strip! But thanks for the idea. When I retire then maybe...
topcat: Your "Privateer" space story? I think that happens in space. Specifically your last post with the ship. That one!
Kray-Z: Actually I watched "Silent Running" the night before I drew this. I always liked it as a kid but seeing it again it is S-L-O-W!!! But I like the concept behind it.
tom: thanks! *blush*
