I was trying to figure out what KrayonGorhamZilla broke as he threw everything on the floor and stomped it. All the sudden I don't seem to have admin ability. Probably just as well. Look what giving the power to Crayollazilla did.
Fleshtone for digital types that like to use an eyedropper button for their color choices
I didn't touch a thing! It might be the new blogger deal. It works fine on the other blogs. I don't know.
ReplyDeleteI like this little fleshtone chart. I'm going to use it.
ReplyDeleteOMG... this reminds me of a drawing that Skribbl did at Jostens years ago. He had done a line drawing of a group of kids... since it didn't have any color he just wrote down the colors of the kids. I don't remember all of the colors he wrote, but one of the kids was marked "brown kid". The people in Austin we were doing the work for sent the art back pointing out that this was an inappropriate way to indicate skin color. We pointed out to them that this was exactly the way to tell an artist what color to use. Idiots.
ReplyDeleteI don't even remember that drawing! Didn't we only have 16 colors back then? I think there was only one brown. AND did they specify the difference between say Mexican brown, Filipino brown, Indian brown, African brown...etc???
ReplyDeleteWe were up to 256 colors by then by then. As I recall, we were getting approval on the drawing before coloring it and we wanted to demonstrate that we had a full rainbow of ethnicity represented by writing down the colors of the kids. You had, in your distinctively pragmatic manner, written down the actual colors of the kids skin, rather than calling out kids colors as "Black" and "White".
ReplyDeleteShoop remembers this incident... he may have more info on it... perhaps even a copy of the drawing!
