Oh, and I vote for "Lion: The Professional" as the new name. A lion transmogrified into a hired killer who befiends a young woman and trains her before his dreams of returning to the plains of the Serenghetti overwhelm him.
Nice Tom Carroll. Thanks all. It's basically a story that has direct rip off ancestry from a Richard Corben story called the Beast of Wolvton. Mixed with a little Kronos : Vampire Hunter.
I'll start laying the spot illo of the page on the Blog next week. I've decide to do a main image drawing per page as the first pass through the book. They'll be rough but they'll be the main action of the page.
I'm going to file my Lion idea away as a semi-spoof of the Jean Reno film. A trained killer who devolves into a ravening beast (sort of like Beauty and the Beast, but in reverse) is something that appeals to me ... ;-)
These pencils seem to make you more prolific, too!
ReplyDeleteWell, unemployment helps. I've calculated. I'm going for the graphic novel. Should bve able to get that done
ReplyDeleteYeah! Go Graphic Novel! Lion Killer! Lion Killer!

ReplyDeleteOh, wait....
