Ellis, I HAVE this course! The very same red, ivory, and blue binders, but from 1954 (not 1960). The covers are embossed with my father's name in the lower right corner.
Within a few weeks of my family's arrival to the US in early 1957, my father (or rather, his talent) caught the attention of fellow Hungarian Stevan Dohanos, one of the founding faculty members of the Famous Artists School in Westport, CT. They awarded my father a full scholarship that included ALL learning materials and art supplies.
My mom gave me these binders after my father passed away in 2005, and I've been meaning to systematically (in my spare time) go through the entire course myself. It certainly is a treasure ... I can't believe this guy Dan took the time to scan it all! These are NOT small binders ... they're 12 x 14.5 x 2 inches.
Do you know if Dan got permission to copy/distribute this material? If he didn't, he's violating copyright laws in a major way by making these pdfs available online.
Beata, that's part of the point of alerting you to their availability. They may disappear due to copyright issues. You're right about how extensive these courses are. I have one binder's worth, plus xeroxes of the cartooning course. I'm glad I didn't have to scan the stuff. They are good scans. That's another thing. Some of the Loomis and Bridgeman scans that are online are very inferior .
If anyone tries to download this watch the numbers of the files, they don't match up with the ones on the list. They are all there, just change the URL manually.
Tom, I plan to create a webpage (perhaps on Facebook) that will include samples of my father's art. The bulk of his exhibited work sold during the '60s in the Palm Springs area, so I have no idea where those are today ... but we still have his portfolio and the pieces he created for family. Some very nice stuff.

I didn't know your father was an artist Beata. Can we see some of his work somewhere?
