Hi guys! I, too, will soon be starting a new job, and this one will be ON THE WEST COAST! Yes, I make my triumphant return to California next month as I start work as an Art Director at a mobile game company in the Bay Area.
Congratulations, Rick! You and Sue have a lot of family in that neck of the woods, don't you? I may try to make it down there at some point this summer.
Nice one Rick. You managed to pull that off in fairly quick time. Congratulations. Are mobile games like going back to doing Genesis Games? As far as hardware and look?
What exactly will you be doing with these guys? Is your job better than mine? Why are you trying to one up me? Congratulations! You're around Boston now aren't you? Are you excited about leaving? Is the east coast getting a little old? Are you upset that you have to answer all these questions?
Ellis: I've been looking for a little while, actually. There aren't a lot of AD jobs out there to begin with... and yes, it's very Genesis-like. The idea of a 4 to 6 month turn around on a game is pretty appealing after years of working on MMOs.
Scott: Of course this job is better than yours. Yes, we are in New England where it's going to snow later today... just when the weather was starting to warm up! WE are very excited to be going back to the west coast and to be closer to friends and family. I'm not so much upset as annoyed with your questions. ;)
Seriously though, your new job sounds pretty cool. I would LOVE to do storyboard work!
