I'm struck by how much personality is conveyed just by line quality in drawings. Looking at this sketch it seems to communicate a relaxed, flamboyant and confident personality. In my city drawing I would interpret my own line quality as being somewhat nervous and obsessive. In each of the other contributions this week you can see so many differences in that regard. It's remarkable.
Tom, his design is a couple of ovals butted together. He's a stout Duck. Perfectly good direction to take a duck design. Kali's instincts for "cute" are about 10 times better than mine.

ReplyDeleteYes Tom. Kali's line is great. Very assured.
ReplyDeleteI like this a lot. I like the little crashed Duck. DumbDuck?
Lucky Duck.
ReplyDeleteDumb Dumb Duck. I looked it up. I think Dumb Dumb Duck looks suspiciously like a platypus. Very little neck for a duck.
ReplyDeleteI know how I feel about it ... I wish it was me!! ...
ReplyDeleteThanks guys!
ReplyDeleteHe is in fact a duck, but yes, his neck is sorta stumpy, I'm sorry!
Because of the angle he's lying at you can't really see how long his neck is. It looks fine to me.
