  1. It's fun that they're set on the ground isn't it. Hu must have worked on masonite or something like it. Maybe just really nice illo board.

  2. I have always imagined that these are oil paintings. I would think that illustration board wouldn't hold up to oils very well, but I don't know... I've always used acrylics.

  5. I thought this was the first picture I can remember where Frazetta looks slightly nerdy. Maybe it's the sweater. Plus, he looks shorter than I imagine him. Maybe the guy with the camera is a giant,

  6. It's also interesting that the swing plank is suspended by invisible rope. Reminds me of Frazetta leaving out the bowstring in one of his great Barbarian and Bow and Arrow paintings. It would have crimped the eyeflow and added nothing to have lines running through the painting.
