First Run Version-1934-of King Kong found in London Theatre

Click the headline. Cool article. Of course there's a lot of buzz about this maybe containing the Spider Pit sequence. If such an animal ever existed.

  1. It was the foreign releases of the film that supposedly occasionally had the sequences in it. According to Forry Ackerman I believe.

  7. It could be very love based, the guy has his wife almost burned alive in his home lab, she's going fast, but he has a brain damaged gorilla right there on the table. He takes a million to one try at transplant. It works! It's just supposed to be a placeholder until a donor body can come along. Of course that can be a long wait. "Kitty Kong's Bod".

  8. Lets pitch it to Rick Baker and use his connections to get it into production.

  10. I don't believe the name has already been used. Wow. How can that be?

  11. I'm seeing it now as a Ch 101 pilot. I have to find out how much a gorilla suit rents for. I'll friend that guy Bob Burns. Just tried it. He's turning down new friend requests. Oh well. He's too old to be an agile Gorilla anyway.

  12. Prime Mate is almost as good a title as Gore Hole.

  13. Oh, and the recent remake had to bug canyon scene in it... it made an overlong film even more overlong-ier.

  14. I know Rick. The Pit scene was another thing that was wrong about Jackson's Kong. As Scott Shaw or Terry Beatty pointed out, the Pit scene is pretty much recreated in Black Scorpion. using the models O'Brien was going to use. Jackson's recreation on the DVD extras blows. He didn't try and match film stock or actor types. Should have had a couple of guys that would get a whitewall haircut and grow a good stubbly beard and sweat out a khaki shirt. Nope, just gawky looking dudes , bad wardrobe.
